I'm thinking of a scenario that the automatic download from the installer failed, then the user has to manually download the file, will the installer continue the installation? In another case if the user downloads all the downloadable component files in advance, will the installer skip the download part? Can I program the installer to check if the downloadable file is present or not, if not, do the download, if present, skip download, proceed to installation?

We are working in a new feature that will allow providing the components locally and also to make the downloadable components reuse already downloaded components if they exists. It will still take us some time but if you are interested you can write us to support@bitrock.com and we will follow up once the feature is implemented.

Does the downloadable component feature also available on installers built for non-windows platform?
