You can show a boolean parameter that will set the selected for component appropriately. For example:

<booleanParameter>
  <name>installDocumentation</name>
  <title>Documentation</title>
  <description>Would you like to install the documentation files?</description>
  <postShowPageActionList>
     <setInstallerVariable>
      <name>project.component(documentation).selected</name>
      <value>${installDocumentation}</value>
     </setInstallerVariable>
  </postShowPageActionList>
</booleanParameter>

This is documented in more details in Enabling and disabling components section of InstallBuilder User Guide.

hi wojciechka, I created a component which we can selected by tick from combo box, I should show two radio buttons for that component(like two subcomponents), if i select one radio button, one should get install,if another radio button is clicked i should install the previous radiobutton package and this current radiobutton package.i mean like parent component component 1 *component 2 parent component should look like check box.component(1,2) should like radiobutton.I shouldnot show the radiobutton in separate page..can i do like this in this installer??

You can use Component groups to provide a parent-child relation and then user can only choose child components if the parent is also selected.

If user should choose one of available options and not select all, you can then also use Component Selection Validation Actions to validate if what user has selected correct components.

The components are always shown as check buttons, similar to how they are shown in other installer products. It is not possible to customize this.
