When the user invokes my installer from the command line with the --help option, I want to be able to limit the number of options that are shown to the following:

--version --mode --help

I was able to get mode customized to show only gtk, windows, or text. Now I want to disable showing other options that I find unnecessary at the moment like: --optionfile, --unattendedmodeui --installerlanguage.

How can I make sure these options are not shown when the help is invoked? Are they available as installer variables that I can enable/disable?

You could use the <hiddenCommandLineOptions> setting:

   <hiddenCommandLineOptions>optionfile unattendedmodeui installer-language</hiddenCommandLineOptions>
