I need to set a custom name for the installer for the linux RPM platform. I tried various options, including element <installerfilename> with custom values, but does not work. At the end, BitRock still generates a file name using default rules. How to set a custom name for the installer file with the target platform RPM?

Thanks.

The RPM name is generated as:

$name-$version-$release.$target.rpm

Where name is defined in the <nativePackageName> tag (or <shortName> if undefined), release and version are the <release> and <version> tags, and target is either x86_64 or i386 depending on the system.

If you need to further overwrite the name of the RPM (like removing the target) you could use the <postBuildActionList> to rename it after it has been created:

 <postBuildActionList>
       <renameFile origin="${installbuilder_install_root}/output/${project.name}-${project.version}-${project.release}.i386.rpm" destination="${installbuilder_install_root}/output/some-other-name.rpm"/>
 </postBuildActionList>
