Hello,

I have a problem installing my solution on Debian 64-bit, I'd go through gtk, which is the default in my installer, but this one throws me a text mode.

I try to run my solution with the option "--mode gtk" but the installer continues to throw me in text mode.

I have not this problem on a Debian 32bit.

Logs :

  • Preferred installation mode : gtk
  • Trying to init installer in mode gtk
  • Trying to init installer in mode gtk
  • Trying to init installer in mode xwindow
  • Trying to init installer in mode text
  • Mode text successfully initialized

An idea to fix it?

thank you :)

Probably the reason is that you are running a 32-bit installer and your system does not have the 32bit Gtk libraries installed.

On ubuntu, you need to install ia32-libs-gtk package - i.e.

# apt-get install ia32-libs-gtk

You can also switch to xwindow mode by specifying --mode xwindow as arguments for the installer. This mode should work fine when no 32bit Gtk is available.

Thank you it works perfectly.

In fact I tested a 32-bit installer, my idea was to have a single installer for several architectures.

It works in CLI but not in graphic precisely because gtk libraries that are missing ...

My solution is to use two installers, a 32 and a 64 for graphics versions ...
