I have an installer that installs some base component (the actual files are included in the installer, the requireSize is about 1GB), it also has some components that unzip some zip files (say each is about 1GB). Right now the installer shows the progress at 99% after installing the base component, although the actual unzip part will take much longer than the base component installation. It would be better if the progress is evenly distributed according to the requiredSize specified in each component. Right now looks like the requiredSize is only used for calculation of the total required disk space.

The progress meter is used to indicate unpacking progress of all files included in the installer. Currently it is not possible to customize the progress meter behavior. The actions progress text is shown, however, it does not affect the progress itself.

As for your suggestion, I have added it to our bug tracking system.
