Hello,

with Windows 8 around the corner, my installer would need to know specifically that it is Windows 8, as opposed to Windows 7, or other flavors, to put certain signed drivers on the OS.

Will BitRock support platformTest rule for Windows 8 in its list of available values, as posted here http://answers.bitrock.com/questions/433/which-types-does-the-platformtest-rule-accept ?

If so, how soon?

Would we need to obtain the latest release of BitRock for that?

Thank you.

InstallBuilder supports detecting Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 from release 8.5.1.

You can find more information in InstallBuilder Changelog.
