I use directoryParameter, but don't want to specify a default value.

 <directoryParameter name="specify_matlab_dir" width="60">
              <description></description>
              <explanation>Specify MATLAB installation</explanation>
              <value></value>
              <default></default>
              <mustBeWritable>0</mustBeWritable>
              <mustExist>1</mustExist>
            </directoryParameter>

During unattended install it pops up the following error, how can I get around of it? alt text

To avoid it, you can provide a default value and set <mustExist>0</mustExist>

If I provide the default value it shows up in the GUI which I don't want as I don't have any good default value for it.

Can you set allowEmptyValue to 1 ?
