I have page with boolean parameter presented with check box. In the validation action list I'm checking the state of this checkbox. In case it is not checked , pressing on the next button will popup warning message. Even if I go back to this screen I set the checkbox value in the preShowPageActionList to 0. It seems that everything is working well. But In case I check the box and immediately un-check it and then press on the next button the popup message not appear and the rest steps act as the check box was checked. Is there any way to avoid that or is that a bug

Appreciate your help. Ronen

Is that happening on Windows? Are you using InstallBuilder for Qt or the regular flavour?

The issue is that you are using <compareValues> instead of <isFalse>. In Qt mode, the value is set to false, not 0, when it is unchecked again. The <compareValues> rule becomes false (as 0 is not the same value as false), but <isFalse> rule would still be true in this case. So it should be:

<validationActionList> <throwError> <text>The license reminder must be acknowledged before proceeding with the software installation</text> <ruleList> <isFalse> <value>${Acknowledge}</value> </isFalse> </ruleList> </throwError> </validationActionList>
