How can I create new XML tags in an XML file and check whether a tag (or attribute) already exists ?

I too have a requirement to modify a xml file through installer. Is this not possible in BitRock?

You could use the XML file manipulation actions <xmlFileSet> and <xmlFileGet>. In addition, you could use regular expressions to manipulate the file (<readFile> + <setInstallerVariableFromRegEx> + <writeFile>). You can find additional information in this link:
