Hello BITROCK Support Team,

I'm trying to rename a directory on windows OS from uppercase to lowercase (only first letter in uppercase). In My case I have the directory APPLICATIONS and I would like to rename it to Applications. The renameFile tag return an error. When I'm using the rename dos command shell it works fine. Is there anyway to perform this rename operation with BITROCK ?

I would like to avoid from renaming it to some temp name and rename it again to the required name. APPLICATIONS => Applications-temp => Applications

Thanks in advanced, Ronen

Unfortunately it is a limitation of some of the APIs that we are using to rename a file.

One possible solution is to use cmd and call the ren command to do the rename operation. For example:

<runProgram> <program>cmd</program> <programArguments>/c ren APPLICATIONS Applications</programArguments> <workingDirectory>${installdir}</workingDirectory> </runProgram>

Another one is to use the temporary directory mentioned, however, the ren command may be better if you want to avoid doing it.
