Reading over the product document and these answers, I want to make sure I understand the capabilities properly:

InstallBuilder does not directly support generation of native platform installers (like MSI or DMG).

It is important, but not necessarily definitive, that I understand the capabilities of the product in this area to make an effective recommendation.

With Bitrock InstallBuilder you can create native executables for Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris and other platforms, as well as self-contained RPM and Debian packages that can be installed using the native package management tools. It's also possible to create DMG or zip installers for MacOS. InstallBuilder does not support MSI. The reason for that is that MSI is a world of its own, and packages often require significant, specific customization that is better served by a platform-specific tool. However, you can use InstallBuilder to perform many of the operations that a MSI would.
