Hi,

In my installer I have a page where the user can enter the username, password that should be used by the Windows service. Is it possible to check whether it can create a Windows service with the entered credentials at the page validation section?

You can use a `<usertest>' for this purpose:

  <validationActionList>
    <throwError text="The provided credentials are not valid">
      <ruleList>
        <userTest>
          <logic>is_windows_admin_account</logic>
          <username>${username}</username>
          <password>${password}</password>
        </userTest>
      </ruleList>
    </throwError>
  </validationActionList>
