I need to convert the absolute path (picked by the user) to the path relative to install directory. For example:

  • On Linux. Install directory: /a/b/installDir, input: /x/storeDir. Result: ../../../x/storeDir
  • On Windows. Install directory: C:\a\b\installDir,input: C:\x\storeDir. Result: ../../../x/storeDir

Can I do it using installer built in actions?

Unfortunately this is not possible with InstallBuilder. However the path picked by the user is stored in a variable you can use on a later moment ${parameterName}.
