On Linux with GTK frontend, unlike other platforms, the text of those buttons is provided by the system (if the Desktop is in Spanish, it will say 'Siguiente', etc.) You can override this behavior with

<overrideGtkButtonText>1</overrideGtkButtonText>

and force the button to say 'Next', but then you will lose the theme-specific icons for those buttons.
