I'm trying to bundle VC Runtime but if a machine has it installed already the installer fails.

How can I ignore this error?

 <actionList>
    <runProgram>
        <progressText>Installing VC++ 2010 runtime 64-bit</progressText>
        <program>${installdir}/vcredist_x64.exe</program>
        <programArguments>/q</programArguments>
    </runProgram>
</actionList>

You can just ignore the error thrown using <abortOnError> and <showMessageOnError>.

<actionList>
    <runProgram abortOnError="0" showMessageOnError="0">
        <progressText>Installing VC++ 2010 runtime 64-bit</progressText>
        <program>${installdir}/vcredist_x64.exe</program>
        <programArguments>/q</programArguments>
    </runProgram>
</actionList>
