I want to access installer variables in java custom code, which i will execute at different points of execution (preinstall or preuninstall. I want read the variables i set in project file and want to set few variables in my code. Can someone tell me how to achieve this in BitRock InstallBuilder? Does BitRock provide any API to do so or is there any other way to achieve this?

In order to pass information to your Java applications, you can pass variables you need as arguments when running the Java code - for example:

<runProgram>
    <program>jre/bin/java</program>
    <programArguments>-jar test.jar --username "${username}" --password "${password}"</programArguments>
    <workingDirectory>${installdir}</workingDirectory>
</runProgram>

You can access ${program_stdout} and ${program_stderr} variables from InstallBuilder to set variable as a result of running Java.
