If a number of files compressed in zip is huge, then sometimes it is a good idea to hide the progress of their extraction if using "unzip" built-in command. "Show" flag doesn't seem to help (InstallBuilder 8.0.1). How can I do that without falling back to third-party tools (I'd like to keep the configuration cross-platform as much as possible)?

It is currently not possible to configure if unzip action should show progress of the unzipping. However, you can modify the built-in string that is used to show the message - for example:

Installer.Installation.Unzipping=Installing files

This will cause the name of the files unzipped not to be shown.

You can find more information on changing the built-in installer messages in our documentation: Changing Built-in Installer Text Strings

As for the <show> option, it is only used for final page actions and determines whether an action is shown as checkbutton in the final page of the installation.
