An earlier question revealed how to format text using xml.

How I do change the font type & size, put in bold etc.?

In Qt mode it is possible to specify HTML <span> tag and specify its style. For example you can put the following in a <labelParameter>'s explanation:

Test of<span style="font-family: Courier New; font-size: 20pt; color: red;">different</span> font

This will show a larger font, using different family and size.

    <explanation>Test of&lt;span style="font-family: Courier New; font-size: 20pt; color: red;"&gt;different&lt;/span&gt; font</explanation>

You can also use tags such as <b> or <i>.

It is not possible to do this in modes other than Qt, though.
